Assistant Manager Microwave Transmission:>

Overview :
Responsible for the planning of Transmission for the region. Incumbent will lead the regional team to liaison with all the concerned depts, will ensure that planning objectives set for the TXN planning team are met.

Reports To:
Manager BSS & Transmision Planning;

Work Location:
Lahore and Karachi

Experience Required:
4+ years in vendor or operator

Key Responsibilities:
Lead a team to plan TRAU’s, dimensioning / planning and forecasting of the BSC and TRAUs keeping in view the feedback obtained from Marketing, RF Planning and NSS planning
•Planning and optimization of EDGE/GPRS
•Preparation of the budget and manage the expenditure accordingly
•Update TXN planning guidelines
•Coordination with NSS for planning MGW and traffic distribution on different TRAU and BSCs
•Preparation of daily, weekly and monthly reports required to ensure that the planning objectives are met as well as QOS is ensured.
•Preparation and approval of the plans of re-parenting the sites from TXN perspective
•Coordination with O&M, Implementation, NSS, RF, Vendors to get a smooth re-homing activity and approval of the implementation plan for the BSC re-homing.
•Planning the introduction of MGW in the Telenor Network in coordination with the NSS planning
•Plan to populate the traffic on the selected MGW sites/cities and handover the PIP to the implementation plan to implementation dept accordingly.
•Planning of the BSC/MSC/LAC boundaries in coordination with the RF dept. plan the BSC Splitting in the same city and/or otherwise in coordination with NSS and RF planning.

Education/Professional Qualification:
Bachelors in Electrical/Electronics/Telecom Engineering
